The characterful one
Hacienda San Cayetano is located in the Valle Canoabo, in the west of Venezuela. Canoabo is also the name of the cacao variety cultivated in this region, which has a high criollo content. Criollo is considered a premium cacao variety that is only grown in small cultivation areas. It is considered to be very delicate and low-yielding – but if it is processed carefully, one is rewarded with an incomparable variety of aromas.
Due to the difficult political situation in Venezuela, it is extremely challenging to import high quality cacao. We are therefore particularly happy to be able to offer a Criollo chocolate with cacao from Rodrigo in Venezuela.
The chocolate is full of character and tastes rich, with a lovely roasted note. A taste you won’t forget so quickly!
