This blend of Original Brazil Fazenda Vera Cruz 70% chocolate with Peruvian aji (Capsicum chinense) and a hint of cardamom from Guatemala is magical. After a long period of tinkering with different types of aji and chilli, we have achieved the perfect result. The eccentric, fresh, slightly bitter chocolate takes on a new dimension thanks to the rich dried fruit flavour of aji and the warming notes of cardamom. Your mouth is full of exotic happiness.

The cocoa beans used for the 70% Fazenda Vera Cruz drinking chocolate grow in the Bahia region of Brazil. Roland Müller and Jennifer Tibbaut’s farm is passionate about organic and agroforestry farming. Here, in contrast to traditional monocultures, the cacao grows within the natural flora and fauna. The richness of the varieties grown is reflected in the flavour of this chocolate: extravagant, yet slightly bitter and with a subtle hint of grapes.
We recommend shaking the closed tin well before each use. For a cup of hot chocolate, use a heaped tablespoon of 15g per 1 litre of liquid. The drinking chocolate becomes particularly creamy in a milk frother. Laura recommends using water instead of milk. The consistency is lighter with water, but the flavour is powerfully pure. At the end of the day, it’s the high-quality single origin chocolate that makes your drinking pleasure. One thing is certain: sharing a cup of the finest hot chocolate enhances the pleasurable experience for the palate.
